North Strabane Township Fire Department values life safety our of residents and visitors and believes that preparation is key prior to experiencing an emergency. In conjunction with our First Responder Program, we offer the Envelope of Life to residents of North Strabane Township.
NSTFD Paramedics and EMTs respond to medical emergencies, along with Canonsburg Ambulance Service, to provide Advanced/Basic Life Support and to assist the EMS crew, as needed. Gathering medical information from our patients is essential to providing care. Knowing medical history, medication information, allergies, and even emergency contact information can enable our crews to better care for the sick or injured. The Envelope of Life is just that – an envelope that contains a form that provides information to emergency personnel. Once completed, the form is placed inside the marked envelope and hung on the refrigerator. The form should be updated every six months, or as changes occur.
To receive an Envelope of Life, Emergency Information Form and magnetic clip, email Firefighter Nick Gerstel at NGerstel@nstfd.org or call Fire Station #1 at 724-745-1010. Envelope of Life packets can also be picked up at Fire Station #1, 2550 Washington Road or at the North Strabane Township Building, 1929 State Route 519.
